I jumped out of bed at 6am this morning while usually I'll laze in bed till 7.20am before I rush to prepare and head out for work. It seems like the Brain woke up by itself, and then it started working on its own, scheduling and brainstorming about the honeymoon, details of the wedding and it just work pretty fast and well for the next 90 minutes. And before I knew it, my energy for the whole day was used up within that 90 minutes! I hope it's not too early to be in the panic mood.

Big Man and I wanted to book the train tickets for our honeymoon, and before we do so, he decided to check on reviews of the website for the last Time before paying that 1k plus to them. Low and behold, we found out so many bad reviews about them, thank God for a wise Boyfriend! Can you imagine if we go ahead and book, there will goes out 1k plus. Some even commented that they will charge additional money compare to what they show you on the website, can't believe people are running business this way. We will need to hunt for places to get tickets again, the time we are traveling happens to be towards the end of Olympic 2012, so we wanted to ensure we secure train tickets and hotels as soon as we can.

Time seems to be passing by me at a high speed that I didn't even notice its almost mid-Feb and I have exactly about 5 months plus to the wedding, how scary is that! There's not much details settled yet, especially the decoration part for church, which is a big headache for me.

We have decided to take things slowly as we are working towards our dream wedding. This morning during that 90 minutes, I've decided to bring things down according to months. For the month of FEB and MARCH, the focus will be on the Photo Shoot and Honeymoon. I had a rough idea of what I want for our photos, the concept and feel has to be exactly the same and right for me. So a lot of research needs to be done before I can give proper ideas to my photographer. And of course honeymoon, we hope to book all the hotels and train tickets by March do that we can rest our mind while we carry on getting busy with the preparation of the wedding.

I guess the gown fitting does some kicking for my mind that I'm getting married soon and there's a long list waiting for me. The month of FEB will be an exciting month now, I believe MARCH will even be better with the dates starting to fill up :)

DressY Wedding!

I changed the most number of dresses today and it was fun! The gown-fitting was considered a success to me because I managed to find a gown that I wanted since young. It was enjoyable even thou half-way I got switch off with the many gowns, and let's not forget about how we argued for things that should be ours!

Still, the company that the girls gave and the experience was good. The girls were really great, they seem to know me so well that they hit the "Jackpot" on those gowns that I wanted. After all, it wasn't easy for me to choose 3 outfits for actual day and another additional 3 outfits for photo taking.

Here's a little preview of how tire I was!

I brought my Peter Pan collar dress last week and this will be the last buy before the whole wedding is over. And I need to save up for our honeymoon trip shopping, I'm not sure what we can get there or what is a good bargain there, but one thing that in sure of is that I'm going to spend quite a bit on Museum and London Bus.

Next 2 weekends will be sacrificed for for wedding. Our parents will be meeting and it'll be interesting to see how my mum and Big Man's dad, who has exactly the same character, meet up and discuss! And the following week, Miaohua and Wenyi will be bringing me to shop for my wedding shoe(Another round of research to be done before end of the month)!

And let's not forget about our wedding band! Love and Co actually kept our details and drop me a SMS that their new range of ring have arrived, we really loved their prompt service. However, prompt service comes with an expensive price tag! And you know what, this means that more research needs to be done!

So many things on my things-to-do list for work, wedding and personal life. I'm enjoying it all now, afterall, you only get married once and you'll only be young once to enjoy all these busy-ness!

Surprise MAC Party

I have been telling Big Man that I wanted a MAC birthday on my 25th Birthday before I got married. But I could not gather up my courage to organise one for myself, so Big Man decided to give me a surprise just one day after my birthday.

After service, the CG celebrated my birthday after which all of them cooked up some reason for us to make our way to Katib. When we reached Katib, they just "randomly" chose MAC and I just innocently followed along. When I reach level two, I saw a space which is set-up for a party and familiar faces in there.

The rest of the time was fun among ourselves, the staff at Katib MAC did such a bad job in entertaining us till we ganged up in the game to be against her. I had a great time and I believed everybody had fun too, like back-to-childhood days.

I'm thankful for all who came, even thou quite a lot could not make it because it was still Chinese New Year.

Sometimes, I get very amazed by how the very woody Big Man could spend so much time and effort to organise a party like this for me when he don't even have enough time to sleep.
Sometimes, I really think hard and could not find a reason why my friends are so generous towards me especially in terms of LOVE, perhaps it's really the deep friendship among us.
Sometimes, I can't help but thank God for everything he places in my life.

I've been so busy since Chinese New Year eve till now that I can't sit down and spare some time to update this space!

Been busy with the Chinese New Year visiting, collecting Ang Bao(for the last year), trying hard to resist all the delicious food(but still ended up eating so much), meeting and gathering with family.

And not forgetting celebrating my birthday and blowing candles for I-lost-count times. And Big Man even threw for me a Surprise MAC party for me with some close friends. It has been something that I wanted, but didn't have the courage to do on my last single birthday.

And of course, I'm moving my butt to start work on preparing for the wedding and honeymoon, I have less than half a year now, every weekend is precious to me and there will definitely be something to fill up the dates. Totally enjoying the process, especially seeing how things are beginning to fall in place. Let's not forget how we are paying and paying every single week on something. But still, at the age of 25 year old, I'm glad I am able to have what I want for the wedding and honeymoon. It's just going to be an amazing year!

Anyways, we just booked our air ticket last night. The price dropped by about SGD150.00 so we thought we should just grab it. Somewhere this week, we are going to book and confirm all the hotels, it's actually quite a fuss to be moving from state to state.

Tomorrow is GOWN-FITTING day. Let's cross our finger that I'm able to find my Vera-Wang look-alike gown.

Birthday @ Red Dot Brew House

Miaohua and Wenyi celebrated my birthday at Red Dot Brew House. It was a really nice place there, along the river with a splendid view.

The waitress actually missed out our Spaghetti which is great because the amount of food we ordered has already filled our stomach to the brim. Not forgetting the beer and wine that we had.

The best dish that night was the nachos chips with the salsa sauce. The pizza is too hard to bite for our liking, the sausages tasted so so and the fried squid is a total waste of money. My conclusion was that we can only go there for wine and chips, nothing else. Apart from the food, the ambience and view of the night made the money spend worth.

And out of no-where came a cheese cake for me. The first candle I blow for this year.

Christmas with Happie Gang

Happie Gang celebrated our Christmas at Sylvia and Weiqiang new Love Nest. To spare the couple from the torture of cooking and cleaning, we decided to order Pizza and grab drinks and snacks from NTUC.

After everybody's stomach is filled, it's time for the annual gift exchange. We had a good time laughing over what we want and how we created a joke from purchasing the gifts. Jasmine's 20 packets of blue M&Ms became the biggest joke of the day!

All of us with the gifts that we requested for.

After a great time of laughing at all the gifts, it's time for some card games. The very nice host knew that we are a bunch of people who gets bored easily, so they prepared card games and x-box for us to self-entertain. Not forgetting how the guys use their talents to entertain us too!

I always have something for accessories that are gold in colour, in fact I love gold more than I do for diamonds. 90% of my accessories are towards the gold side, of course I'm not talking about those grandparents kind of Gold.

I've always wanted a gold name necklace with my name on it, but I can't seem to find any that's nice and of reasonable price. And so finally when I spotted one, I requested for it as my birthday present from Engsin and Yanqin. This one that I've requested for is exactly the same as the one from the movie, Sex and the City. It arrives at my house yesterday, just in Time for Chinese New Year. I can't wait to wear this little lovely thing even thou it's going to broadcast my name to the whole world :)

A very interesting and meaningful story that I loved. It talks about how we get lost in chasing things that are temporary and forgot about those eternal stuff:

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

Over the weekend, Big Man accompanied me to do my last minute shopping for accessories and bag to prepare for CNY! I'm finally done with all the shopping.

On Sunday, I went over to get my nails done up as well before prices shot up like nobodies business. Tried something new and bold this time, it's either people find it nice or they think it's ugly. Sign up for a package as well since my package has been used up.

Now my pockets are almost empty, waiting for ANG BAOs to fill them up once again! Whooooo~

N119 Christmas BBQ

We had our N119 BBQ and it was a blast. Thanks to our 3 chefs(Jasmine, Shawn and Maoshun), we all had good and cooked food to eat. Not forgetting how we reveal our Angel and Mortal game with a lot of laughter and jokes.

After our BBQ, we headed over to Katong Mall for a cheap KTV, TEO HENG KTV. For 2 hours of continuous singing cost us $32.00 for a room. Each of us paid a dirt cheap of $4.00 for 8 of us. If you are interested in CHEAP KTV, you can call 6345 6513 to make reservations.

Starting the year right is very important for me and I'm glad I started my 2012 right in the presence of God and the love of my spiritual family. Towards the end of service, it'll be the usual touching songs and without failed everytime, they reminded me of how precious this life and people around me are. I may not be the prettiest or smartest around, I may not have climb the corporate ladder successfully, I may not have the best temper or attitude around, but I know, these group of people will always stick around to me.

When Christmas was approaching, we had a cozy dinner before walking down the Orchard to see the boring lighting. Even Axel boy is not interested in the lighting. I was craving for meat badly and they decided to satisfy my craving by having our dinner at Meat Works ION. There was a 50% discount on the second dish, thank God for the promotion because the standard of the meat is not worth the high price-tag.

2012 RESOLUTIONs

I've decided to get my fingers starting on 2012 and ignore about what has been left undone for 2011. I've decided to be a little more practical and less ambitious on setting resolutions. It has always been the case where the resolutions will automatically overflows to the next year!

R1: Mind your own $$$

I've always been talking about saving up a sum of money, not those 100 or 200 kind. I've been working for 2 years plus and I'm hoping that when I hit my third year of working in October, I'll be able to achieve the amount that I want. This is a little tough especially with the wedding coming up, and not forgetting how I'll bring a part of my savings with me to my Honeymoon to fully utilize them. Of course, from now till October, I have to resist all temptation to overspend on shopping, food and even gifts. Thank God there isn't a lot of wedding this year. I'm determine to set a 5 years goal, to start saving so that next time when I become a stay at home mum(donkey years later), I won't be a broke one!

R2: Against all GRAVITY

Well, I've always been talking about losing weight! And I'm glad the weight I've gain after I started working has begin to leave me bit by bit. With gown fitting coming up after Chinese new year and not forgetting photo shoot and the actual wedding, I'm very determine to go easy on food. Now, all I have to do is stop Big Man from cooking nice food or bringing me for good food. It'll save money and space any weight gain.

R3: More OIL

This year, I'm believing God for a breakthrough in my spiritual life and ministry. It'll no longer be just the talk and stay in the circle. After going through last year and being in this cell group, I believe God has installed something great for me this year. Never look down on small beginning and ordinary person. More anointing and presence of God in my life, AMEN.

R4: P.S.I LOVE YOU

I'm getting married and it'll be a great milestone in my life. I'm glad I have Big Man with me all along. We are like normal couple who fight a lot, quarrel a lot, argue a lot, laugh a lot, cry a lot and love a lot. Anything you can think of we have, but still it's the love that kept us going. We have our dream wedding but yet at the same time a right budget to work with. For somebody like me who loves to plan so much, it's no doubt a joy to be planning for my own wedding. And of course I'm thankful for great friends who's always around offering help and cheap lobang. I'm praying hard and crossing my finger that nothing will goes wrong and it'll be a break even for us.

Simple and sweet resolution, it'll be fulfilling at end of 2012 to say that I've achieved all my goals for 2012. The usual things like stay pretty, sleep early, eat healthy will be on my list forever as long as I breath.

It has been 4 days into 2012 and I'm busy as usual. I wanted to blog and note down about 2011 and plant some visions for 2012, somehow time does not allow me to do so. I still have a lot of blog entries to back-date before Chinese New Year hits.

It seems like a few days ago I'm just singing happy birthday to Jesus, now everywhere I'm heading to is playing Chinese New Year songs. A little scary in my opinion!

Imagine we will have a long February and March without any public holiday in between. But for this year, all the months till July will be pack with fun and busy-ness.

I'm going to pull out the long things-to-do for my wedding and blog about my wedding vendors. I'm contemplating about honeymoon now as the excitement dies off. We will see about it as time goes.

Friday I'll be on leave with Big Man to celebrate our 4th year anniversary. Nothing fanciful this year, we plan a JB trip since it has been half a year since we are in. I love cheap food and cheap shopping!!

2 days to 2012!

Had half day at work then rushed over to meet up with Jie and Axel boy. It was tiring taking care of him! But still he's my little darling boy.

Big Man and kor finished their work on time and we decided to go on an excursion. Drove around Thomson and decided to settle for Penang Recipe(very wrong choice). We ended up at Salted Caramel for waffles and ice cream.

The night was still young hence we made an impromptu decision to drive over to Yishun Dam. It was a windy night and Axel boy enjoyed himself so much. It was the TAN family first trip there and I'm glad they enjoyed themselves.

3 Days

It's 3 days to 2012 and I'm pretty excited. I'm someone who loves festive and occasion like this. Holidays, gathering and feasting, not forgetting the shopping part as well(an excuse to shop during CNY)!

Worn specs to office to hide my tiny eyes, can't sleep well for the past 2 days due to the bad rash that I had.

Had HAPPY FOOD today to make myself happier :)

Art of Silent

Sometimes, I wish there will be someone in this world who will quietly stand by my side accompanying me through every single event in life. When I'm down, that person will just be walking by my side doing whatever I want. When I'm happy, that person will laugh with me. When I'm crying, all that person do is lend a shoulder.

It's hard to find such a person in this broken down world, people are too selfish to listen and practice self control over their words. Most of us wants to speak whatever we want and not listen at all. It's the selfishness and taker in us that makes it so hard to find such a person.

The only person who knows best about Art of Silent is Abba Father. He listens attentively to every single prayer, when we are stubborn and rebellious, he'll listen too. He has a lot to say to us, but he will choose to respect and learn to give us free will.

I'm so tire, breaking out in rash and didn't sleep the whole night. All I needed is somebody quietly be by my side doing whatever I want, yet it's so hard.

As the wedding date gets closer, I'm more anxious! Not about the planning or how it'll be, but by how I'll be like.

All those pimples(and scars), the stubborn fats all over the body, the super small eyes(due to late night sleep) and the very tire body! So I've decided to turn to supplements.

Brought Fancl Collagen drink and DHC drink with a supplement pill. This is the first time I'm actually so faithful in taking all these. And of course, I'm crossing my finger praying that they will work.

It's not easy to plan for your own big day, it's even harder to look great on your big day and even after that. But my determination is very strong :)

Went to Raffles Marine Yatch Club on a Sunday afternoon with Big Man and my cell group. Everybody was quite tire from Michelle's wedding, but the moment we sat down, we just started chatting non stop.

Comment: The mushroom taste is very rich but there's not much mushroom slice in it. I'll prefer something with a rich taste and many slice mushroom!

Comment: Sweet Corn and Crabmeat are both my favorite. However the combination of both tasted real AWFUL! Big Man loves this soup thou.

German Pork Sausage: ***/*****
Comment: This is a recommended dish so we decided to order and try. Tasted very normal, I'll prefer sausages elsewhere than here. A little too dry and tiny for my liking.

Marinated Prawn with Spicy Sauce: ****/*****
Comment: This dish is made with their own in-house sauce. Total in love with this, the prawns that they served are not those BIG and DRY tiger prawn. It's those crystal clear prawn that you get in authentic Thailand food.

Comment: Corn never fails me, at least corn that's on it's own never fails me. They are grilled to almost perfection and served with a special kind of butter. Total yummy!

It's the Mid-week again! Can't wait for the weekends to come as usual, I'm so packed for this week and there's so little time to accomplish so many task.

I'm starting to spend a lot on Birthday celebrations, Christmas gifts and the many weddings to attend. End of year is always the time to share some love and care.

This has been a tiring week, seriously, I can't wait for Saturday to come so that I can sleep all that I want.

Sakae Lunch with Big Man. I never like Sakae Sushi until Twinnie brought me there for some yummy dish. Shopped in town till evening before heading back to Yishun for a movie-2359. I thought it'll be a funny ghost movie like what we watched the other time, but I'm so WRONG. I hide behind Big Man's arm and his jacket, peeped at the screen through my fingers and avoid being scared by the very real and sudden noise

Service is great, Arise and Build! Pledge the biggest amount I have ever give, stretched but yet I chose to obey God. We had the whole Sunday afternoon after lunch with our cell group to ourselves. Shared about what God spoke to us about A&B, discussed some wedding details and played around with the furry shawl! Lost my favorite shawl from Helen and Big Man thinks that it's good that I lost it because it starts to smell like me, oops!

VIC zone leaders met up at Thank God Is Friday located in Heeren. The service was quite bad initially, after we began to order our mains, things become better. But still, I won't go back again. Dislike places that play racist in their service.

Beautiful chocolate from Europe that my dearie brought after her trip with family. This is the second batch of Europe chocolate given to me this week, perhaps it's a BIG hint that I should survive on air and rain till the wedding is over so that I'll have enough to go for Honeymoon in Europe!

We are still in the midst of finalizing big details about the wedding, after hearing a very disappointing news, I heard that there might be a possibility that things will go the way we want. I'm crossing my finger and praying hard, if it goes according to what I want, I can be a pretty and happy bride for my BIG DAY!

Today is a public holiday, YAYNESS to that. I love it when there's no blue-s on Monday! Going to try the new circle line with Big Man tomorrow. Please give us a good weather so that it'll be easy to travel around.

I know this entry is a little late but I'm just too busy to sort out the photos and edit them. It was a great night spent and the 4 of us had so much fun especially at the racing track. It was mad fun doing all the jumping shoots, running around with the BIG flag and screaming at the top of our voice for RED BULL(Despite us carrying a RED flag)!

Hotel Shopping

The first thing that we want to settle is definitely the HOTEL. Holy Matrimony is a tad easier, we just need a nice space for 300 people which allows catering and it'll be settle. I'm not an expert in Hotel shopping, it is my first time so a lot of things came to my mind.

Here's a list of things to take into consideration while choosing Hotel:
1) Number of Guest
This is the first and most important step in choosing a Hotel. You do not need to have a very detailed list, just a rough list will do. For example, 20 to 25 tables, 23 to 26 tables and so on. With the number of guest, you can start searching for something that suits your need.
2) Budget
After having the number of guest on hand, you can now determine how much are you willing to spend. For hotels, most of the guest will actually give Ang Bao. But please take into consideration that not ALL your guest will give enough to cover your cost. Let me show an example, if you are prepare to lose about $300 per table, you can get a 5 star hotel which cost about $1,300 per table so that on average guest will give $100 and you are prepared to lose the $300. If you are not prepare to lose at all, then my advice will be, do not take any dinner in those nice hotels which cost $1,000 and above.
3) STARs
After setting the number of guest and budget, you'll have to search and find a hotel which fits into your budget. If you are very particular about the standard of hotel but is restricted by the budget, you may want to choose a 4 star hotel on a weekday, the price will be almost the same as a lower star hotel on a weekend.

Like I mention earlier, I'm no expert and it took me 2 weeks of very LATE sleeping before I get to confirm our Hotel venue. Due to some reasons, we brought forward the wedding and this sort of press the Panic Button in me. I've searched through internet and been to quite a few hotels physically and short-listed the following:

Choice One: Mandarin Oriental

One of the BEST hotel I've been to, and for some unknown reason, I love this place a lot. Top service and Great food! However, the price tag for this place is way too high and beyond our budget. We are not prepared to lose more than half a thousand per table, so here goes my favourite!

Choice Two: Marina Mandarin

I remember when MS was at the "OLD" era, there was a very beautiful hotel near the bowling alley. After MS has been renovated for so long, the feel of going back to the hotel once again has changed. The whole place especially the lobby looks very cold. The ballroom carpet is fully red and this was something that I could not accept.

Choice Three: Orchard Hotel

For a moment, I was tempted to take this place. I called the sales coordinator and after 1 week of enquiring, somebody finally got back to me. Honestly, service of a hotel is very important to me. And when the person called and emailed me, there wasn't too much sincerity or customer service.

And lastly, our choice:

The service is good, the ballroom looks so pretty after doing up and reviews about the food seem to be good too! And most importantly, the location is very centralized.

I'm very glad that we have made our deposit. I'm crossing my finger hoping that the food will be delicious and every single of my guest will enjoy themselves during the PARTY!

Next up will be on our choice of bridal studio.

I have a dark secret to share!

I have a very weird habit that nobody knows!

Every time when I'm very hurt, disappointed or get into situation that I don't like, I'll find any pieces of paper I have and start folding them into heart shape. Every single heart shape represents God's love that I must remind myself to have towards others. How Christ loved me so much just to die on the CROSS for me, and when I'm reminded of this, slowly the prideful taker will fade away and I'll start to use this love from God to love other people.

The bigger the pain/hurt, the more and bigger heart I'll fold. Today, I folded the biggest heart shape that I've ever tried because that's the only size of paper I had with me.

As I began to fold, I'm remind that love, kindness, caring and patience goes together. Without any of them, it's not love anymore. It works to remind me how I should let go and let God, most important to let go of everything negative.

The next time when you are unhappy or upset, perhaps you can do the same. Grab a piece of paper and fold into a heart and be reminded of how great God's love is.

Axel Boy's First Movie

We went for Axel Boy's first movie about a month ago, he enjoyed the CARS 2 movie a lot. And we enjoyed it too, he's such a good boy in the cinema behaving himself.

It's 3.16am on a Saturday morning. Friday night is the best day ever, it's the start of the weekend and it's also the time where I'll always date myself. Watching drama into the wee hours knowing that I can sleep the sun hang up high on sky. One of the best thing in life is to wake up naturally after a full good sleep.

After drama-ing, I'll just surf a little net and keep myself updated with the happenings. There's this serenity at night which I loved about. How I wish that day time will be as peaceful as this.

Friday nights are the best too, not because it's a hang-out night. It's always a night where I can serve God and the people in his house, not forgetting the great fellowship with the cell group. I really love to praise and worship God, it's a privilege to be able to serve him and the people. His presence is addictive so is his words.

I've done a little reflection today about what has been going on, I'm still giving praise to God, thanking him for all that he has given to me. It's by his grace and mercy that I've what I've gotten. The best gift we can give to God apart from our prayers and worship, it's to smile and shout Hallelujah even in the midst of Crisis. That's when faith is really being build up and exercise.

Pimples are popping up all over at the left side of the face due to x(unknown reason)! I've been religiously taking care of my face, I guess stress and late night sleeping plays a part. Big Man says I'm a naughty girl by squeezing them, I just can't stand the sight of pimple! Anyways, I'm praying hard my super atas and expensive pimple cream will play it's part. Big Man's cousin's getting married tomorrow I'll need to look good too!

I'm quite broke this month with all the weddings and birthdays! There's gonna be a lot more birthday next month(ES, YQ, EL, Cheryl, Timmo) and not forgetting the 2 weddings back to back! I'm more comforted now knowing that my $$$ is bringing joy to my friends. Now who wants to add a little joy to me instead?!

Time to hit the sack and sleep!

God I pray that it'll be a good night sleep and I'll wake up on the right side of bed. :)

After 3 weeks...

It has almost been 3 weeks since the proposal and I'm still recovering from the shock. So what have been so different and what have I been doing for the past 3 weeks?! Being the kan-chiong and everything must plan in advance person. Here you go.

Top on the List: Repeat the Proposal for N times and share about my plans for wedding for
X times!

I've been meeting different group of friends and sharing with them everything about the proposal and sharing with them what I have in mind about the whole wedding! It has been pretty exciting Sharing with the love of my life about this special phrase of life. It's not easy to get so many people to share all these magical moments with you and I thank God often for the many great friends that I have.

Planning and visualizing the wedding

People who knows me well should know I'm somebody who loves to plan way much in advance. I'm contemplating if we should actually spend money to get a wedding coordinator, but after weighing the CONs and PROs, I believe I know what I want.

PROs:
1) You pay the money, somebody do the Hard work for you. They help you minimize the stress and pulling-hair experience.
2) They are the PROs at this and of course they know which vendors to find that is the best for your budget. I believe that in finding the right vendor for all BIG and SMALL issues. Everybody is a noob at wedding planning since it was supposed to be the FIRST for most people, so it'll be great if you can get people who are very experienced with the right contacts.
CONs:
1) It's tough to express in words what exactly you have and what kind of effect you want to create. It might sound like A to you but it might sound like B to others. There's a risk of miscommunication here, especially if you are not the very expressive kind.
2) There's a price to pay for you to sit there to relax and get what you want. Of course, there are wedding planners around who charge an affordable fees. But still, it'll eat into the wedding budget.
3) When it's other people doing the wedding for you, there's a lost in personal touch. It's different when you spend the time and effect to ensure something turns out nice, of course that is if you are the D.I.Y kind of bride!

So after taking into consideration time and money factor, Discussing with Big Man and seeking the advise of people around me, I've decided to embark on a D.I.Y wedding. Of course saying that doesn't mean I will do away with any wedding planner. If at some point I'm starting to pull my own hair and eat my own nails, I'll still turn to those ala carte kind of planner.

Gathering My GANG

Wedding is an once-in-a-lifetime event and it requires a lot of planning! I'm somebody who's very hands-on. Most of the time, if possible, I'll do most of the things myself. I'm learning the beauty of delegation so I need a GREAT and RESPONSIBLE people whom I can believe in to help me in this. I'm very thankful to God that I'm done with gathering of the sisters, and there's so many people around us offering to help in any area where they can. I believe I'll enjoy the whole process because of the friends that we have. I believe, it's not about the Result but the process.

Finalizing DATEs and BIG DETAILs

We are in the midst of finalizing dates and details. Our priority now is to church cum hotel HUNT. Once the BIG details are finalize, we can slowly take our time on the small ones. I'm not in a hurried to plan anything yet, just that it's very worrying not to secure a place and having the uncertainty that we might not get the place we want. So once the BIG details are settled, I can breathe and goes back to "normal" life for the time being before year 2012 hits.

As for the past 3 weeks, I'm enjoying the new title that I've gotten. And of course giving praise and thanks to God for everything that he has placed in my life now. I always believe, my Big Man and the great friends around me are all God-given and without failed, every single time when I think of how fortunate I am with them, I'll always thank God for all this.

It was Kor's birthday and I could not think of what to get for the everything-also-have him, so he requested for a high-tea meal at Antoinette(Located within Mandarin Gallery)!

So here we go for the High-tea. I've forgotten to charge my camera so please bear with the IPHONE4 quality photos that I have!
They don't take in any reservation so we have to queue about 45 minutes before getting in. Please remember to reserve the cakes that you want while queue-ing up because the people in front and behind of us actually reserved their cakes and when it was our turn, most of their popular cakes were sold out, and once it's sold out, they won't replace them anymore. So you can imagine our disappointment!

After a good wait of 45 minutes, we managed to get a good
Seat at a corner where Axel Boy fast fell asleep once he finishes 2 of the macrons that he ordered!

Rose Cake with Rose Cream: Totally a turn-off because it tasted like eating my Rose Home Spray and my hand cream!

Different flavour of Macrons: Yummy! Axel boy finished his pistachio and caramel macrons before falling asleep!

It was overall a good meal, the ambience and cakes are worth the price-tag that we paid. I'm going to bring some of my girls back to this place one day, to slack and relax!

Out of the Pan with Big Man

Brought Big Man to Out of the Pans for their yummy crepes! We managed to get the seats at the fountain. Big Man was busy on his phone while I got busy with my camera too!

If you can see, there's a plaster on my left arm because of the last jab for cervical cancer. The new doctor was so violent and extreme that my arms was still swelling now even thou it has been 3 days.

Somebody please remind me not to pay a sum to suffer such a pain!

Look at what we won from Mac Monopoly! The $25.00 Mac miniature set that I want to buy the other time.

Tried La Roche Posay brand and it was good! All thanks to Jasmine's recommendation. My skin has cleared up and became better now. I guess my persistent masking, drinking of 1 liter of water and sleeping early plays a part. Now I can leave home without foundation.

And now, my best friend is this mascara from this Japanese Brand that I've just gotten.
Totally love the effect of this mascara. Just put it on, TADA, I'm all ready to go out(without Foundation)!

And this new brand hair serum that I've just gotten, alcohol and fragrance free. For the time being, it didn't failed me.

From now till the wedding date, I'll be super hard working. And even after wedding, I'll make sure I'm always at the best condition!

Like the saying goes, there's no ugly woman, only lazy one!

The Proposal

And so Big Man finally proposed. It has been an amazing and surprising proposal with all my close friends presented(Except for those with very urgent stuff)!

He brought me for a nice dinner near the river follow by a walk along the river. And when we are walking near the river, he suddenly took out a card from his bag. I began to notice that something is not right. After reading the card, he suddenly took out an IPAD and show me a Video.

And when we are approaching a corner of the river, I saw a nicely done up corner with balloons, a board that reads "WILL YOU MARRY ME", a pair of bear sitting on a swing and a Diamond Ring. I was totally in shock especially when I saw a group of friends approached us.

Everything else is history :)
The whole proposal was like a Birthday Party where they are surprises, laughter, present and most importantly friends who are there to witness this special moment.

Till now, I still can't registered the fact that I'm engaged, I have my dream 5 claw diamond ring and an IPAD. Everything seems to be a dream, and I know it's just a start to my dream.

For now, we are taking our time to enjoy the moment. Everything about the wedding will start next year. But for a planner like me, I will need at least now till start of next year to plan everything. I'm really excited :)

From now till the wedding, I shall be on a shopping-ban and no more good food.

Celebrating Jie's Birthday

We celebrated Jie's birthday one week before her actual birthday. She decided to bring us to Rider's Cafe for lunch! We have to make advance reservation of 3 weeks, so everybody is excited about the brunch.

I will recommend this place as a brunch place as it's very relaxing. After a full meal, all of us felt like sleeping there! After visiting the horses, we headed over to Orchard to shop. We had a great time shopping while Axel Boy had a great time napping.

We rest our feet at Hard Rock Cafe Singapore for dinner.

Happy Birthday Jiejie! Thanks for giving birth to my little darling BF and brought him up to be such a charming boy. Big Man and I loved you <3

East Coast Park

After spending the whole afternoon at Last Kampong in Singapore and Nex, we headed over to East Coast park for a sinful seafood dinner.

After the nice and sinful dinner, we went to take a short walk around the park. Axel boy was running all over the place having fun, but at 11pm, it's not wise for a baby like him to be out. So, we headed home shortly.

After massive research and planning, we finally made our way to the Last Kampong in Singapore. Big Man and I headed over to Kor's place and had some nice breakfast at his place with Jie's homemade cake. We had a great time with the "just wake up mood" Axel Boy!
We finally came to the place after some finding and getting lost. The place is quite accessible by car and there's plenty of parking lots around. So you don't have to worry about parking or finding the place.

The place is going to be torn down soon and here are some nice photos taken of the Kampong.

We completed exploring the place in about 45 minutes, the whole place is not very big and for those who wants to go with children, please remember to bring along a fan as it's not an ideal place for kids. We drove and headed over to Nex for lunch.

Mezza9 @ Hyatt

I met up with Avril(my room mate in Tioman trip) for a dinner at Sushi Tei. After the dinner, we went around searching for dessert and she brought me to Mezza9 at Hyatt for cakes. It was my virgin trip there and the cakes impressed me quite a bit but not with their service.
My Strawberry Cheesecake: The cheesecake was so so, but the biscuit made from Oreo came as a surprise for me.

The Whole of the Napoleon Cake: Love this the best, the biscuit at the base tasted so yummy!

We hit it off so well once again then we decided to meet for shopping trip soon, especially H&M! And when I head home, I reach for my IBank device and gotten my X number of dress from Love Bonito.

I'm crossing my finger and waiting for a reply from Singpost regarding the wedges that I've gotten from them last week, can't wait for it to come.

And can I complain a little about how stress work has been and how I'm adjusting my mindset for it? Still, weekends always make the weekdays bearable.

As for now before the weekend hits again, time to go for a relaxing facial with twinnie!

It has been 44th month with my Big Man! Like I always said, how we met each other was amazing and how we fell in love is even more amazing, the 'being together' is the most amazing part.

He brought me this little fan for my makeup table because my wall fan doesn't seem to blow towards the side, and it's too much a hassle to change the direction!

My big man is the best, because he's brought me stickers to decorate the fan. And I love him deep deep :D

City Harvest Church 22nd Anniversary

We celebrated our 22nd Anniversary as a church and family. To me, City Harvest is more than a church or "organisation". It's a family to me, a place where I found my real-self, a real love and self-less love from the people around me. It's a place where I met God for the first time, found my destiny in him and learn about how great a future he has prepared for me. This year, I'm glad to be in this big family of N119 :)
After the service, we went to the next hall and took part in the One Minute Challenge as a cell group. Every single one of us took part in different level and finally completed the ten tasks and won ourselves $100 Capital Mall voucher!

After the whole event, we went out to chill out before heading for Seafood at Great World City. We celebrated Junjie's birthday too since he'll be overseas for 2 weeks.

Worn my Love Bonito top out yesterday and layered it with a black tank top. Layering makes me feel young once again because the feeling it gives is usually sporty and young.

I've been cutting down on shopping recently but there's still 3 new dresses sitting in my wardrobe. With the many weddings coming up, they will be of good use!

And today when I walked pass the M)Phosis at northpoint, I spotted the word S.A.L.E!

I ended up coming home with 1 cardigan, 1 bangle and 1 jumpsuit. Implusive buying I named it, but they are all good buys!

With the many many shopping that I'm doing always, it's time to shop for more hangers too because mummy is complaining about how her hangers went missing! Oops~!

I had the chance to lunch at Sky on 57 @ Marine Bay Sand Sky Park! I've googled on the place before making the trip down to check out how the place was and you know what, the actual place and bird view of the city is much more beautiful than photos can tell.

Lunch Menu

We had a hard time choosing our 3 courses because everything seem nice and yummy on the menu! Ended up the few of us ordered the same few dishes and they turned up to be exactly what I expected, YUMMY!

Onion Bread: Very delicious bread, goes very well with the salted butter.

Cheese Bread: The outer is hard like those cheese bun you'll get from any bakery shop, but the inner part of the bread tasted soft and cheesy too. Very rare to find such cheese bread.

Appetizer(Bake Organic Egg with duck Config and Mushroom): This small little red pot tasted as magical as the menu describe it to be. For a non-egg lover like me, I won't mind having one pot everyday. The mushroom was soak with delicious soup base before adding them into the egg, the sauce tasted very thick and the combination with the soft organize egg, almost the most perfect egg I've ever tried!

The other appetizer that my colleague ordered, tomato and fruits.

Main Course(French Roasted Sakura Chicken with Garlic): This dish is basically created for Garlic-lover! I'm not too sure what is the sauce made of, but the strong and nice smell of garlic just make me crave for more of it. The chicken itself tasted quite alright, but when you put some sauce and the mash potato together with it, another great combination. I find the sauce itself very familiar, somewhere that I've had it before, but just can't recall where.

Another main course that my colleagues had: Fish meat Curry.

After the main course, it was time for dessert. I chose their homemade ice cream which tasted very unique and nice, the burnt honey comb that was served together tasted great too.

After feeding our tummy with such great standard of food, now it's time to feed our eyes with the bird view of our city. We head out to the balcony for a walk around the place and captured many views of the city. It'll be a beautiful place to chill out at night with the stars hanging on the sky as the background with the city lights of CBD as the foreground.

And before we left that place, we had a cup of tea and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sunlight for a moment.

I'm really thankful for this free luncheon and the experience there. One day, I'm gonna bring big man back here to enjoy the food and scenery too.

Universal Studio Singapore

On Big Man's birthday, we headed to Universal Studio Singapore. We were very excited about this virgin trip there. The place ain't as big as I imagined it to be. Nevertheless, we still had a lot of fun!

The first place on the list was HOLLYWOOD. We had a very AWFUL brunch at one of the Celebrity Cafe, a total waste of money.

After brunch, we began exploring the Hollywood sector of the place. We happened to meet POH from Kongfu Panda the moment we stepped out of the restaurant. Not forgetting the other characters and nice scenery that captured our attention at this sector.

After we have experienced the Hollywood world, we moved on to the MUMMY WORLD where I had the shock of my life on the rollar coaster in dark with water and fire. It was so scary till the extend that I cried and stone for 30 minutes after the ride. We didn't stayed long here too because it brings back BAD memories of the rollar coaster.

After the terrible experience, Big Man decided it's time for us to enjoy and relax for a while at FAR FAR AWAY LAND. We caught the 4D movie, brought a bottle of chilled drink and saw a celebrity couple! Basically it was fun and relaxing here that I've forgotten all that happens in the "MUMMY" world.

It was a pity that we are unable to catch Fiona and Shrek for some photo taking. After having so much fun in the PALACE, we headed over to the MADAGASCAR world to Move it Move it~~!

After the fun of the different world, we went to this Water Show. There are only 3 show time per day so please make sure you don't miss it. Initially I was a little hesitating about going but at the end of the show, I feel that I will regret if I didn't catch it at all!

We left the place about 7.30pm to look for dinner. Overall, it was a great experience and fun time at USS. The feeling that I had was one that transported me to a different world. I was telling the Big Man, I can't wait to visit Disney Land, Disney Land Sea, Ocean Park, USS overseas with him in future.

Found this entry in my IPHONE while sorting out the Blogger APPs. It's a little back-dated as now I settled down into the not so new room. Nevertheless I will want to document down the process :)

13 days ago when the wardrobe door dropped, I was "INFORM" by mum and Big Man of their decision to change ALL the furnitures of my room. So in a short span of just 12 days, I shopped for furnitures, cleared out every single item of mine, selected a colour and got my room painted. Let's not get into the part where I threw away so many bags of items and how Mum threw away my furniture before I can bid the last goodbye to my bed, and yes I miss my ex-bed a lot.

On the third day, I went to a few Big furniture malls to SHOP! The items are either too ugly or the nicer ones are expensive. I spotted a nicer wardrobe at the price tag of $1699. In the end we decided to go Ikea and settle it. And so the whole "Upgrading" begins........

Let me do a transformer series on my blog for me to remember how the old furnitures have been there for me for the past 7 years!

My so-called study table where I spent hours watching my hk drama and rush assignments and bible reading during bible school days.(Pardon the messy bed, the shifting starts even more I'm informed)

The wardrobe that failed me and caused me 12 days of tireness! And I missed my bed :(

So after I've clear out everything either to throw away or boxed them, my empty room looks like some ka-dong guni place.

A little hard to believe this is my room, I understand how you feel because I can't believe it too haha!

I only have 5 minutes in home fix to select the colour that I want. My mind is quite fixed on dark purple to make the room into an Anna-Sui look alike, but somehow the 2 bosses protested so I'll have to stick to a lighter colour of purplish blue(which I'm quite please with).

We spent 2 days TOGETHER(Yes I painted too even thou A LOT of people don't believe that I did) painting the room to get the shade that I wanted. This expensive new series of paint from Nippon is good, it didn't trigger my allergy of paint.

And before the IKEA people come, we took some photos to remember how spacious this room used to be!

When the IKEA person called and say they will be reaching in 15 minutes time, Big Man and I waited at the window to welcome them from my kitchen!

I have to say they did a great job in putting the furniture together. And I managed to capture a few photos of some behind-the-scene act.

Big Man supervising them all the while to ensure everything is well and alright.

And so after 12 days of hard work, let me present to you the newly upgraded room. It's still a little incomplete with the bed side table OOS, the good quality carpet still not found and the forgot-to-get small cupboard for my barang barang!

Last Saturday Mr Big Man Is occupied at work the whole afternoon, so I decided to turn to my little bf to seek for some LOVE!

My cousin drove out for lunch before heading to Thomson for some grocery shopping. Now this little fellow really behaves like my little bf. He's at the age where his learning ability is so fast till I can't catch up! At the Finest NTUC, he will be "educating" me about fruits name like nectarine, celery and the list goes on.

And we brought him his first bottle of Ribena as well. Throughout the car journey home, he'll just point at the car boot and keep chanting "Gugu, Ribena inside!". For the first time, I see some similarity about my little boyfriend and the Big Man!

Big Man came and joined us for a sinful yummy dinner with KOI! It's just LOVE to have the big and small bf's company on a Simple Saturday :)

We dropped by again on Wednesday last week to collect my new top from Jie! Axel boy was enjoying his fruits while we invaded into his space. He went all crazy playing with Big Man after our dinner, and this little fellow completed his puzzle in an amazing time span.

When we wanted to leave, he went into his NO mood again. It'll all start like the below:

Me: Darling Boy, Gugu and uncle is heading home, we will come next time and play with you ok? Say bye-bye.
Axel Boy: *starting to grab my hand* No! No! NO!
Me: This is Axel Boy house, Gugu and Uncle must go back our home ok? You want us come back play with you? If yes then we go home next time come again ok? Good boy ok?
Axel Boy: *using his pitiful and cute face* No, Gugu no go home.

At this moment his expression will change. When he's much younger at 1, he'll start to cry and refused to let go of you till you have to use force and pull him away before you are able to walk out. For now, some
Coaxing will do.

I'm praying that he'll grow a little slower because in a few years time, he will not want Gugu and Uncle anymore when he's at school and has his friend. But before that can happen, I'm gonna occupy more of him and bribe him more to make him remember and want me!

Can't wait to see my little bf this sat again :)

Baby Michela and Mummy Shine

I was on leave on Monday and I dated the pretty mummy Shine and cutie pie Michela out. She was a little ignoring me initially, but with the POWER that I'm blessed with for KIDs, we soon hit off and played like we were the best of friend!

It's pretty interesting to see how the mummy and daughter interact. Honestly I just wish somebody can give birth to a girl in our family even thou I'm more in favor for boy.

Michela looks super cutie pie and sweet when she tries to "sa-jiao" with Huixuan, and being a girl, she loves sunglasses and dresses very much. If I bring Axel Boy out for shopping, he's most probably more in the spacious room in the shop for him to run than the pretty stuff hanging on the racks.

I mean I've finally understood the difference between a boy and a girl, it's more than the clothing or the way you will dress them. It's the difference in their character, the difference in the way they behave and the way they have interest in different thing.

Looking at how huixuan and michela interact, sometimes I wish I can just kidnap her baby like how I always wanted to kidnap Axel Boy. I'm praying hard I'll have a boy then a girl in future. And I won't be those mummy who will spoil their kids like the mini shopaholic book that I'm reading right now!

I brought this really nice cosmetic holder to make my dressing table looks more tidy! So glad it works quite well :)

A friend who had almost a perfect skin once told me it's not really about the product you used. It's the amount of water and sleep Which you consume that is reflected via the skin. Recently, I've been having BAD skin day. Trust me that it's BAD when I used it!

For the next ONE month, I made a commitment to drink 1.6 litre of plain water everyday and clock 7 hours of sleep per day. And I should keep my itchy hand away from my face. I really needed the GOOD skin back, there's at least ONE wedding to attend for the next few months. I do not want to appear ugly on the photos even thou I'm not the star.

So I brought this 800ml bottle to office to motivate myself to drink more! Let's pray that water+sleep+not touching face will do the trick. Of course not forgetting all the additional vitamin that my skin deserve!

Maybe I'll dare to go naked on my skin on my blog next month??

I've been so busy at work that it absorbs all my energy and I actually slept the whole Saturday and I'm still feeling very tire now. Finally understood what it meant when people says there's no way you can pay back your sleeping debt. How true!

I've finally used my Mac Book Pro for the first time after it came home for a few weeks. It's a pretty little toy and I'm going to Mask and protect it soon before dust and scratches find it's way to her. There's so many photos I've put in her waiting to be blogged here.

So after I'm back from the Tioman trip, I'm like so lazy and tire to keep this place updated. The weekdays were spent busy at work(with the new job scope), while the weekends are spent meeting friends and having fun!

Yesterday I met up with my dearest mama and miaohua, we decided to go for a healthy meetup. So we decided on Bowling! Of course there's more than bowling that night, it's filled with fun, joy and laughter. I really had a bad day but thank God for these 2 angels!

Our first round of bowling, I surprised myself by scoring 74 points!

New Mac Book Pro!

During the current IT show, I re-contracted my SingNet and gotten a new Mac Book Pro. Went to collect during lunch yesterday and brought it home with me. Now it's at Big Man's place for some fixing up before it'll land on my hand for use.

I'm not very excited or keen on this even thou I know many are screaming about this new Mac Book Pro on my Facebook. My old laptop has been with me for 9years and I feel a little sad to just throw it away or put it aside. I can't deny that it's breaking down(Red lights along the side of the screen, CD rom no longer working, Adaptor will just stop working on it's own....).

Let's hope Apple don't fail me and let's hope the pretty Mac Book will embark the next new phrases of life together with me :)

Went to have my manicure and pedicure done somewhere near my house. Tried something new and the hand looks quite presentable. The shatter on my leg is a flop! Totally ugly till I'm so ashamed to bring my toe nails out.

And worn my new long dress in peachy out today. Mum commented that I look fairer in bright colors. So happy to hear praises from her.

Anyway I'm trying to get into the holiday mood because I'm going HOLIDAY tomorrow. I know it's just 3D2N at Tioman but at least it's a holiday. I'm going with Big Man and his colleague, my room mate will be his only female colleagues who will be going. And I brought her favorite M&M peanut chocolate to bribe her to love me :D

I'm feeling very burden and not in a high mood at work today. I'm feeling quite HIGH for the past few days because of holiday. Thank God for my little BF who knows how to cheer me up no matter what mood I'm in! On Father's Day Sunday, we met up with the Lin family and headed to NEX for some shopping before a great dinner at Ding Tai Feng. We gave him a goldlion belt this year and that's what he needed now!
